Ann LaMont, 83, of Mount Joy, PA, formerly of Havre de Grace and Joppa, MD, went home to be with her Lord on February 22, 2016 at her home in Mount Joy after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Havre de Grace, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Nellie Himes. She was the wife of the late Kenneth L. LaMont for 59 years prior to his death in 2013. The LaMont's lived in Joppa for 43 years before moving to Mount Joy in 2011.

Mrs. LaMont was an active member of Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church in Joppa for 43 years. She was married at age 22, and was a military wife for 11 years prior to settling in Joppa.

She is survived by two sons, Michael, husband of Heather LaMont, of Eldorado Hills, CA and Stephen LaMont of Lancaster, PA; a granddaughter, Madison LaMont of Eldorado Hills. She was preceded in death by a brother, David L. Himes, of Havre de Grace.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday morning, March 1, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD with Rev. James Artz officiating. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Harford Memorial Gardens.
