Annabelle M. Klunk

Annabelle M. Klunk of Havre de Grace, MD passed away on July 20, 2009 at the Citizens Care Center. She was 93.

She was born in Dallastown, PA to the late Martin L. and Ida (Kriedler) Kapner. She was the loving wife of the late Paul H. "Spike" Klunk for over 64 years.

Mrs. Klunk was a devoted mother to William Klunk and his wife Mary of Havre de Grace, MD and Delight Adams of Long Beach, CA. She is a grandmother to Theresa Lehman and her husband Brian of Willow Street, PA, Denise Taylor and her husband Will of Catonsville, MD and Brian Adams of Long Beach, CA. She is the great-grandmother to William and Wendy Lehman both of Willow Street, PA, Benjamin and Melanie Taylor both of Catonsville, MD. She is survived by her sister Toni Flinchbaugh of York, PA. She is pre-deceased by her brothers and sisters; Dale Knaper, Lavern Knaper, Herald Knaper, Palmer Knaper, Carlton Knaper, William Knaper, Mildred Beaverson and Lorna Emenheiser.

Mrs. Klunk was a member of the Citizens Nursing Home Guild, the Lady Elks and Swan Creek Country Club in Havre de Grace, MD. She was an avid golfer and was one of the founders of the Junior Golf Program at the Swan Creek Country Club during the 1950's and 60's. She had also served as Past President of the Women's Group of the Swan Creek Country Club. She was well known for her Pennsylvania Dutch Chicken Pot Pie dinners at the Havre de Grace Elks Lodge, where she was also the Past President of the Ladies Elk Lodge. She had also volunteered for many years for the Harford Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed being involved in the arts and crafts for the bazaar at Citizen Care Center and working in their gift shop. She enjoyed spending passing the time with word searches. She was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church for more that 55 years.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, 2009 from 9 AM to 10:30 AM at the Zellman Funeral Home, 123 S. Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 24, 2009 at 11 AM, St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 615 Congress Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD.

Officiating will be Father Lawrence Kolson.

Interment will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens in Aberdeen, MD
