Obituary

Arlene Jean (Szamborski) Cage passed away at her home in Aberdeen on September 24, 2024, following a short illness. She was born on December 28, 1938, in Baltimore, MD. She was the daughter of the late John Vincent Szamborski and the late Elsie Margaret (Singleton) Szamborski. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Donald John Szamborski and George William Szamborski, husband Lawrence Raymond Cage, son John Raymond Cage and grandsons Joey Wayne DeHaven, Jr, Coleman Allen Mcchristian, Jr and twins Jeremy Robert and Joshua Robert Doremus, granddaughter Olivia Renee Mauzy and great-grandson, Elijah Huff Brown. She is survived by her sister Elsie Margaret Dodson and daughters Elsie, Diana, Rosalie, Bette and Mary. She also leaves behind 22 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Cage was a retired Army civilian, working at the APG commissary. After her retirement, she also worked for the Gap and Medline. She was member of VFW Post 10028 in Aberdeen and American Legion Post 47 in Havre De Grace. She enjoyed playing Bingo and card games with friends, family get-togethers, trips with the Golden Age Club and going on cruises with her daughters.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 @ 1 pm at the Bethel Christian Center, Havre De Grace, MD.
