Barbara P. Taylor Canfield
Barbara P. Taylor Canfield, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on February 21, 2013. She was 80.
She was the loving wife of Raymond J. Canfield, and beloved mother of Richard, Wesley, Sherrie, Alisa, and Will Taylor. Mrs. Canfield was predeceased by both parents, Richard and Mildred Wiggins of Owego, NY; her first husband, Ralph S. Taylor; and her two oldest sons, Richard and Wesley.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond J. Canfield of Havre de Grace, MD; daughter Sherrie & her husband Scott Ulishney of Bel Air, MD; daughter Alisa and her husband Andre Antoine of Edgewood, MD; son, Will Taylor of Havre de Grace, MD; dear brother Richard R. Pass of Sayre, PA, and sister Sarah and George Hall, of Owego, NY. She was the fond step-mother of Sarah and Allison Canfield, and husbands Nigel Blaum and David Balsden, respectively, of Harrogate, England. She was the grandmother of 16 and great-grandmother of 6. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Canfield was a graduate of the Owego Free Academy. She served in the U.S. Air Force for almost 2 years. She worked as a teacher's aid for Havre de Grace Elementary School. Mrs. Canfield was a member of the Bel Air Community Band for 23 years and the Upper Chesapeake Community Band for 20 years. She volunteered for the Lutheran Mission Society. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Havre de Grace, MD, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for 60 years and was a Willing Worker. Mrs. Canfield was also the Eastham Family Historian.
A viewing will be held on Monday, February 25, 2013, from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will begin at noon. Pastor Ron Smith will officiate. Interment will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens.
