It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara Marie Johnson, who left this world peacefully on April 18, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on January 7, 1948, in Baltimore, Maryland, Barbara touched the lives of many with her gentle spirit and unwavering kindness.

A dedicated lab technician at Johns Hopkins, Barbara worked tirelessly in the health care industry, where she took great pride in her work.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Mantik and Doris Holden Mantik, and her brothers, Andrew Mantik and Francis Mantik. Barbara is survived by her cousins, Frank Mantyk, Daniel Mantyk (Candace) and Karen Loss (Bobby).

Barbara loved her cats. She enjoyed listening to her favorite band, BTS, was a Baby Yoda Fan and enjoyed arguing politics with her cousins. Throughout her life, Barbara was known for her warm smile, selflessness and caring for others. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her soul rest in eternal peace.

In honor of Barbara's life, funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 16th, 2026, at 10 AM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A. The family invites all who knew Barbara to join them in remembering her remarkable spirit and the joy she brought to their lives.
