Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Ann Liberatore, who departed this life peacefully on June 26, 2026, at the age of 81, in the presence of family and the comfort of home. Beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Barbara was born March 19, 1945, in Seattle, Washington, and dedicated her life to her family and loved ones.

Barbara was a committed homemaker whose greatest joys were found in the laughter and happiness of those she loved. Her dedication extended beyond her family and to her community; she was a longtime member of the Havre de Grace ELK's Lodge, the VFW Post 8126 Auxiliary, and St. Patrick's Catholic Church, among other organizations. She enjoyed new challenges, and her professional life featured secretarial work in Baltimore and at APG, retail management at Hallmark and Preston's Stationery, and many proud years as a substitute school teacher in Havre de Grace and Aberdeen middle schools.

Barbara will be deeply missed by her son, Andrew W. Liberatore, her grandchildren Anthony W. Liberatore (Megan) and Jessie M. Liberatore, and her cherished great-grandchildren William, Madeline, Addison, and Weston. She leaves behind her loving brother, Harry Standiford, and countless friends touched by her warm spirit and generous heart. Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank W. Liberatore, and her parents, Harry W. Standiford and Ada Warfield Standiford.

A Public Visitation will be held at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A. on July 2, 2026, beginning at 6:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to attend in remembrance of Barbara, celebrating the incredible life she lived and the legacy of love she leaves behind. A Funeral Service will follow at 8:00 PM.

In our sadness, we take comfort in the memories we shared with Barbara--her excellent cooking, her infectious laughter, and the unwavering support she offered to all. She will forever be in our hearts.
