Obituary

Barbara Ann Taylor, born on June 18, 1939, in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, at the age of 86. She spent her final months surrounded by the love of her family in her daughters home. Barbara was known for her warmth, generosity, and showing her love through her delicious baked goods and home cooked meals.

Barbara was a long time resident of Havre de Grace, Maryland where she shared over 50 years with her loving husband Wayne. She loved the historical town, living by the water and visiting the light house. She enjoyed going to the local shops, especially to Bomboy's to fulfill her sweet tooth.

Barbara had a love for animals. In her youth she enjoyed riding horses, and in her later years she rescued a few handicap cats and gave them a loving home. Growing up, she enjoyed playing softball with her brothers and for the local church. She liked watching ball games with her husband Wayne, as well as game shows like The Price is Right and Lets Make a Deal. On Sundays, she worshiped the Lord by watching her favorite Pastors on the television and reading her scriptures.

Barbara had a joyful spirit, she could make a person laugh without trying. Her family will have many stories to cherish of her comical phrases. She had a great love for her family, calling and writing her loved ones often, near and far, to let them know she was thinking of them. She never missed a holiday or birthday card. Every Christmas she would spend hours in the kitchen baking specific cookies to cater to each child's and grandchild's request. Her laughter and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Barbara is survived by her devoted husband, William Taylor; her Sister-in- law Cindy Parks, her daughter, Virginia "Jeni" Brendle (Brian); her sons, Charles J. Young, Jr., (Ki) David Young (Linda ) William Young, (Bonnie) Also her grandchildren, Charles II, Janina, Christy, Toni, Alycia, Kenny, Amanda, Samantha, Dennis, William, Tyler, Skyler, Kerstin, Natasha, Sasha and Rachel, 13-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
