Barry Kenneth Childress, a cherished father, son, brother, and veteran, will be remembered for his love of children's sporting events, golf and culinary prowess as an amazing cook. Born on December 7, 1960, in Havre de Grace, MD, he passed away on November 24, 2024, from natural causes.

Barry enlisted in the Marines, serving with honor until his discharge, reaching the rank of Corporal. Following his military service, Barry found purpose as a Small Arms Ballistics Technician at Aberdeen Proving Ground.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and pride in his survivors, including his devoted daughters, Lexi Childress, Lauren Childress, and sons Ryan Childress and Jason Childress (Lauren Kiesler), as well as his mother Janet, brothers Randy, Keith, and Scott Childress, and sister Ellen Patterson. As we celebrate Barry's remarkable life, funeral services will take place at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 927 Pulaski Highway, Havre de Grace, MD, on November 30, 2024, with a public viewing from 1:00-3:00 PM, and a service at 3 PM.

As we honor his memory, let us reflect on the impact Barry had on those around hm and the joy he brought to all who knew him. May he rest in peace, knowing that his love and spirit will forever be cherished.

Barry was preceded in death by his father, Paul Childress, and daughter Chelsey Childress.
