Bennie B. McCoy of Maryland passed away surrounded by the love of his family on February 19, 2022. He was 61 years old and the beloved husband of 36 years to Lynitta D. McCoy.
Bennie was born in Jackson, Mississippi to the late Bennie M. and Christine (Ramsey) McCoy. He was the devoted father of Brandi M. McCoy, Bennie M. McCoy, IV, Kea McDonald, and Cornelia D. Neely. Mr. McCoy is survived by his loving sister Kathryn Johnson and her husband Timothy. He was blessed to be the uncle of LaTrice Jackson, Don Carl Walker, Jr., Michele Thomas, and Haran A. Walker. He was also a great friend to LaTonya M. Leonard and her son, Lamar S. Leonard.
Mr. McCoy was a Warehouse Manager for Walmart before retiring. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved fishing. He also loved to cook (especially grilling during the winter), watch football, and listen to all genres of music. Bennie enjoyed music from the 70s, 80s, and 90s, but especially loved listening Jazz. Bennie's deepest love was his family and extended family. He was a member of the Cade Chapel Baptist Church in Jackson, MS.
