Betty Ann Blansfield


Mrs. Betty Ann Blansfield (nee Richardson) formerly of Havre de Grace Maryland and Florence, Alabama passed away in Warrenton, Virginia on Friday, February 15, 2008. She was 69. Mrs. Blansfield was born in Florence, Alabama to the late Mable Killen and John Richardson.
Mrs. Blansfield served in the United States Navy for three years after her enlistment in 1957. Mrs. Blansfield while seving in the Navy meet and married Mr. Allan Lee Blansfield of Havre de Grace, on Sept 21, 1960. They raised four wonderful children, Steven Lee Blansfield, of Darlington, MD, Bryan Allan Blansfield of Rising Sun, MD, Tracey Lynn McCartney of Lewisberry, PA, and Laura Ann Pedersen of Warrenton, VA. She was the adored grandmother of Justin Blansfield of Havre de Grace, MD, Shenna Blansfield-Haynie of Perryman, MD, Ashley Christley of Darlington, MD, Rebecca Blansfield of Darlington MD, Mathew Blansfield of Darlington, MD, Jade Thomas of Lewisberry, PA, Tye Thomas of Lewisberry, PA, Monica McCartney of Palmyra, PA, Taylor Blansfield of Aberdeen, MD, Cheyanna Wilde of Darlington, MD, Jorryn Blansfield of Darlington, MD, Jessica Llewellyn of Warrenton, VA, Brianna Pedersen of Warrenton, VA, and Brooke Pedersen of Warrenton, VA .
She was also a geriatrics nurse for over 30 years. She loved to travel, and listening to country music, especially Elvis. She loved spending time with her grandchildren most of all.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a remembrance service to begin at 6:30, Rev. Edward Heydt to officiate on Friday, February 22, 2008 at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A. 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, Maryland 21078. Services will also be held in Greenhill, Alabama at a later date.
