Betty Marie Privett, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on August 14, 2024. She was 82 years old.

Mrs. Privett was born in Havre de Grace, MD, to James Burkentine and Pamela Zellman Burkentine. She was the devoted wife of the late Jessie Lester Privett, loving mother of Mamie L. Baldwin (Steve), and the late Clark, Pamela, and Roscoe Privett, grandmother of Amanda Mershon, and great-grandmother of Matthew Mershon. She was predeceased by her siblings, James Burkentine, Jr., Martha Hall, and Gil Leishman.

Mrs. Privett enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. She was a fan of game shows and crossword puzzles. Her true love was taking care of her family.
