Betty Jean Sampson

Betty Jean Sampson, of Bethlehem, PA, passed away on February 24, 2013. She was 81.
Mrs. Sampson was born in Fallston, MD, to Clyde Clayton Lewis, Sr., and Louanna Suzanne McMillian Lewis.
She was the wife of the late George Oliver Sampson. She was the loving mother Peggy "Peg: Wasko, and her husband Bruce, George Oliver Sampson, III and his wife Lisa, of Bethlehem, PA., also predeceased by her daughter Elizabeth Ann Sampson Pastorious and granddaughter Michele Ann Pastorious She was the adored grandmother of Thomas Marencik, Christopher Marencik, and Melissa Marencik. George Oliver Sampson, IV, Jaclyn Sampson Finken, Allison Sampson. She was the dear sister of James Lewis and his wife Kay, Alton Dean Lewis and his wife Jolene, Margaret Curns, Shirley Hendricks, and her husband Donald, and the late Orville Lewis, Clyde Clayton Lewis, Jr., and Virginia Criswell. Mrs. Sampson was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Della Jean Lewis, and two brother-in-laws, Benjamin Curns and Horace Criswell.
Mrs. Sampson loved watching and spending time with her children and 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She loved going to Florida and visiting Disney World. She enjoyed collecting thimbles, dancing, country music, and gardening.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 6-8 PM at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, February 28, 2013, at 11:00 AM. Pastor Ron Smith will officiate. Interment will be held at Rock Run Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Thomas Marencik, George Sampson, Tim Hendricks, Jeff Lewis, Barry Bodt, Ryan Finken, Chris Kratz, and William Wright.
