Brigitte Velazquez, of Edgewood, MD, passed away on July 26, 2016. She was 71.
Ms. Velazquez was born in Mannheim, Germany. She worked as a food service manager for Harford County Public Schools.
She was the mother of Amber Voelker and her husband Richard, Daryl Velazquez, Carlos "Chuckie" Velazquez, Christine Valzquez, Regina Johnson, Lauren Garcia, Sheila Ann Downing, and the late Marvin Younie. She is survived by at least 16 grandchildren and 1, great-grandchild, Ian Adam. She was the sister of Renae Egetenmeir.
Ms. Velazquez was an avid BINGO player. She lived for her grandkids and loved taking care of them.
A viewing will be held on Monday, August 1, 2016, from 7-9 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at 10:30 AM, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 2600 Willoughby Beach Road, Edgewood, MD 21040. Father Jack Ward will officiate. Pallbearers will be Daryl Velazquez, Chuckie Velazquez, Damion Velazquez, William Edwards, Jeff Woodard, and Ricky Voelker.
