Carl Tullson passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center after a 17-month battle with cancer. Carl was 41 years old.
Carl was born in Providence, RI, to Peter and Karen Tullson. He was the devoted husband of 10 years to Aimee Uy, loving father of Christian Tullson, and stepfather of Amanda Janusz. He was the brother of Drew (Kendra) Tullson and Linnea (Stephen) Goss. He was the grandson of Douglas Baird, the late Martha Baird, Shirley Tullson, and the late Russell Tullson.
After growing up in North Syracuse, NY, Carl attended Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL graduating in 2004 with a B.A. in Economics. Carl received his J.D. from Moritz College of Law at The Ohio State University in 2007 and began his legal career at Skadden in Corporate Restructuring, where he rose to partner in his fifteen years loyal to the firm. Carl had a very strong work ethic and truly loved his vocation.
Beyond his work, Carl enjoyed traveling the world and relaxing by the river with his family. He especially loved going for walks in nature, cooking up Swedish pancakes or a fancy meal, and reading books to his children. Carl followed sports closely, collected baseball cards, and enjoyed golfing with friends and colleagues. He also listened to personal finance podcasts and loved to read, especially J.R.R. Tolkien. His favorite band was Coldplay.
Carl was a devout Catholic and served as a lector and fifth grade catechist.
