Carol Elizabeth O'Brien, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on March 13, 2023. She was 78 years old.

Mrs. O'Brien was born in Baltimore, Maryland to William Edgar McCray and Carlyn May Metcalf McCray. She was the devoted wife of Francis Xavier O'Brien, loving mother of Karen Amoriello (Greg)), Sean O'Brien (Tricia), Bridget Abrams (Johnny), and Erin O'Brien (Darrius), grandmother of Alysia McVey (the late Casey), Megan Stinar (Ryan), Aidan O'Brien, Katherine O'Brien, Shane Abrams, Molly Abrams, Kai O'Brien, and Kingston Farley, great-grandmother of Owen McVey and Rosie Stinar. She was the sister of Gloria Jean Collins, Nancy Lee Harris, and the late James William McCray.

Mrs. O'Brien worked as a Medical Dental Assistant. She was a member of the American Dental Society, the Registered Nurse Society, and the VFW Auxiliary. Mrs. O'Brien was a former Girl Scout Leader and volunteered for the Opera House. She enjoyed her flower gardens, baking, cooking, and loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 10 AM, St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 615 Congress Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD.
Along with flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude Childrens Research, Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
