With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Carol Ann Spinazzola, a beloved Teachers Aid at John Archer School and Wakefield Elementary School for hearing impaired 3-8 year old students. Born on January 12, 1935, in St. Petersburg, Florida, Carol passed away on September 9, 2024, in Bel Air, Maryland.
Carol was deeply passionate about her work, dedicating her career to nurturing and educating young minds. Her love for cats, voracious reading habits, and enthusiasm for golfing were well-known among her family, friends and colleagues. She also generously devoted her time to Harford Memorial Hospital, where she volunteered for 25 years, offering comfort and care to those in need.
In addition to her professional achievements, Carol was a talented seamstress and pianist. Her music filled many hearts with joy, and her dressmaking was admired by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and creativity that will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Carol is survived by her loving children, Donatina Brinegar, Diane Adkins (Thomas Adkins), and David Spinazzola (Judi Wettig), along with her grandchildren, Kelly Lynn Snyder (Russell Snyder), Tommy Adkins (Alley Ladd Adkins), Christi Jerscheid (Adam Jersheid), and Joel Wettig (Ashley Wettig), and great-grandchildren, Brandon Jerscheid, Christopher Jerscheid, Finley Warren Snyder, and Colin Snyder.
Funeral services will take place at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 927 Pulaski Highway, in Havre de Grace, MD, on September 27, 2024, at 1:00 pm. A visitation will also be held at the same location on September 27, 2024, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, where friends and loved ones can pay their respects and celebrate Carol's remarkable life.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Spinazzola, father, John Eichelberger, mother, Nellie Eichelberger, grandson Kyle Brinegar, son-in-law, Warren Brinegar and siblings, Walter Eichelberger, Mary Dufoe, and Helen Fish.
