In Celebration of an Extraordinary Life: Christopher Carroll Angert
Beloved Father, Brother, Uncle, and Friend
With a heavy heart and an overflow of cherished memories, we bid Fare Thee Well to Christopher Carroll Angert, of Bel Air, Maryland, who passed away on January 21, 2024, at the age of 61. He was a cherished son, an amazing father, a devoted brother, and a beloved uncle. Chris, a force of fun and love, leaves behind a legacy that resonates with laughter, adventure, and genuine camaraderie.
Chris was born in Baltimore, Maryland on December 5, 1962, to Donald Francis Angert and Louise Foley Angert. He leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth as the dedicated father of Catherine Angert and Caroline Angert and as the brother of Julia Cromwell Angert Dalby and Anne Fenwick Angert Horn (William). He was also the coolest uncle to Cormac Dalby, Cullan Dalby, Parker Horn, and Peyton Horn. Chris was predeceased by his father.
Chris achieved the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout exemplifying his commitment to leadership, community service, and a strong work ethic. A graduate of the John Carroll School in 1981, Chris went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree from Clemson University in 1985. He went on to have an illustrious career in computer engineering with top defense contractors for over 35 years where he traveled worldwide on many special projects.
Chris' love for sports was evident through his membership in the Baltimore Clemson Alumni Association. An avid fan of Clemson football and Maryland basketball, he also held season tickets for the Baltimore Ravens and Baltimore Orioles where you would always find Chris with his girls, family, and many close friends. He loved being on the water, boating on the Chesapeake, water-skiing, and tubing, always taking his girls, his family, and all of his many friends on every boating adventure. Chris also had a love for snow skiing, their cherished dogs—Murphy, Boh, and Gus—and spending winters in Key Largo, Florida, scuba diving and boating with Catherine, Caroline, and friends.
His true joy in life was being with his daughters, whether coaching or cheering them on at lacrosse and soccer games, cruising the waterways, traveling the world, or attending classic rock concerts together. His spirit of fun lives on.
