Christopher John Parsons, also known as "Skip", of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on October 29, 2019. He was 73 years old.
"Skip" was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and pre-deceased by his beloved mother, Ann Parsons Dunnill. He is survived by his devoted sister, Catherine Markland and her husband Timothy Markland, Sr., his brother Daniel Turner and his wife Nina Sue Turner, nephew Timothy Markland, Jr. and his wife Amy Markland, his niece, Megan Markland, and great-nieces, Sarah, Anna and Isabella Markland along with his longtime friend and caregiver, Teresa "Terry" Slater, and his constant companion, his cat, Lola.
Mr. Parsons was a Sea Captain, piloting tugboats and cruise ships. He enjoyed Cultural Arts, going to see Operas, Musicals, and Ballet, and listening to Classical Music. Mr. Parsons also enjoyed computers and playing Cribbage and was known for his beautiful singing voice and his outstanding dancing abilities.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2019, from 5-7 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Monday, November 4, 2019, at 9:30 AM, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 615 Congress Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD. Interment will be held at Mt. Erin Cemetery.
