Cleva Gay Sutton, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on January 13, 2024. She was 82 years old.

Mrs. Sutton was born in Whitetop Mountain, Virginia, to Harrison Spain Blevins and Amanda Catherine Stamper Blevins. She was the devoted wife of the late Richard A. Sutton, loving mother of Tanya Valare Wade, Samantha Jane Stevens, Suzie Cornell (Jeff), and the late Norville L. Blevins, grandmother of Jeremy E. Steven (Meghan) and Samantha R. Adkins (Jeff), great-grandmother of Troy Austin Stevens, Kinley Rae Stevens, Jeffrey A. Adkins, III, Sadie Rose Adkins, and Madison Rae Adkins. She was the sister of Eula M. Bowman, Jencie L. Dupee, and the late Charles Sterling Blevins and Teresa W. Parker. Mrs. Sutton is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mrs. Sutton enjoyed playing BINGO, visiting with her family and her many friends. She was a wonderful storyteller and loved cooking and eating with her family.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 11AM until 1 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will begin at 1 PM. Bishop Roger Estep will officiate. Interment will be held at Darlington Cemetery.
