Colleen E. Waller, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2025, at the age of 77.
Born on September 18, 1947, in Havre de Grace, Maryland to the late Earl N. and Betty C. (Elliott) Litzinger. Colleen devoted her life to her family and friends.
Colleen was known for her joyful spirit and passion for life. She found immense happiness in listening to music and hymns that inspired her soul. Colleen loved the thrill of BINGO games, which brought laughter and connection with friends. Her adventurous heart enjoyed long car rides through the picturesque countryside, especially those winding journeys through Pennsylvania, where she could relish the beauty of nature. She cherished always being there for all her grandsons' sporting events.
Family was the center of Colleen's universe. She is survived by her devoted husband of more than Fifty years, Richard C. Waller, and her beloved son, Lance Waller (Heather). Colleen was the proud grandmother to two wonderful grandsons, Mason and Graham Waller, who brought her immeasurable joy and pride. She was predeceased by her brother Nelson E. Litzinger, Jr. Colleen's family was her everything, and she embraced every moment spent with them, instilling love, and kindness in their hearts.
Colleen dedicated her professional life to serving her community through her work in administration as an assistant for AMSA at the Aberdeen Proving Ground for more than twenty years., where she was known for her kindness and unwavering commitment to her colleagues and the mission at hand. Her warmth and gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone she met.
A Viewing will take place on January 7, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 927 Pulaski Highway, Havre de Grace, Maryland. An additional viewing will be held on January 8, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
Interment will then commence at Baker Cemetery, Aberdeen, MD for all those wishing to honor her memory.
Colleen's vibrant spirit and passion for family will forever be cherished in the hearts of those she touched. As we gather to celebrate her remarkable life, we remember her laughter, love, and the joy she brought to everyone around her.
