It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Chip (Dale) Baughman -a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was born on May 14,1954 in Pittsburgh, PA and departed this world on April 6, 2024 at his home in Aberdeen.
He served as an Aberdeen Police officer and then switching careers worked as a service manager at Cook Motorcars and Thompson Jeep Chrysler. He was also a former member of the Aberdeen Fire Department for many years.
Chip enjoyed spending time with family. He is survived by his wife Barb, children Courtney Pierce (Kevin), Jenny Baughman (Jenn) and Justin Baughman (Brit), grandchildren Cameron, Mariah, Kaden, Damian, Raelyn, Mathias and great grandchildren Lilyan and Joey. He is also survived by his sister-in law Melanie Blattner and brother-in-law Keith Blattner.
Chip enjoyed simple things - his puppies Ziggy and Gunner, friends, watching NASCAR and soccer, 4 -wheeling with Team Ugly, geo-caching and cheering on the Ravens.
His dedication, his strength, and the love he shared with others will be deeply missed but his memories will be a source of comfort and inspiration. The date and time for a Celebration of Life will be announced in the coming days. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Aberdeen Fire Department or the Humane Society of Harford County.
