Dale David Tobin


Dale David Tobin, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on June 20, 2013. He was 68.

Mr. Tobin was born in Donaldson, PA, to the late Leo Diebe and Florence Tobin. He was the devoted husband of 33 years to Deborah Ann Tobin, loving father of Lisa Ann Tobin Wiscount, Dale Richard Tobin and his wife Tina, Danielle Renee Tobin, David Ashley Tobin, Drew Allen Tobin, and Diana "Shelly" Tobin. He was the adored grandfather of Draven Layne Spangler, Geoffrey Wiscount, and Kiersten Tobin.

Mr. Tobin served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as a medic, a nurse, nursing administrator, then became an administrator for the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Mr. Tobin enjoyed swimming and golf and coached the Penguin's Swim team for several years. He loved being outdoors, especially in his backyard by his pond. He also loved spending time with his family and landscaping with his boys.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2013 from 5-8 PM at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 24, 2013, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Pastor Norman Obenshain and Pastor Jess Bousa will officiate. Interment will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made to either Havre de Grace United Methodist Church, 101 South Union Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD, or Restore Church, 616 Ontario Street, Havre de Grace, MD.
