Dan Edward Knight, of Abingdon, MD, passed away on March 11, 2020, surrounded by his family. He was 66 yrs. old.
Mr. Knight was born in Steubenville, Ohio, to Alfred John Knight and Elsie Jean Bauman Knight. He was the devoted husband of 40 years to Sheila Knight, loving father of Michelle Little and her husband Justin, and Jonathan Knight. He was the adoring grandfather of Owen Little and Alaina Little and brother of Doug Knight and his wife Kelley. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Knight was a graduate of Naperville Central High School in Naperville, IL, and then attended Drexel University School of Architecture in Philadelphia, PA. He worked as a Draftsman for Donald B. Ratcliffe Architects 1976-81, Draftsman and Project Manager for James H. Magee, Jr., Architects from 1981-1986, CADD Technician and Project Manager for Hord Coplan Macht 1986-2010, and Architectural Project Manager for Derby Enterprises, LLC, from 2010-2020.
He was an amazing father, grandfather, and husband; a calm, gentle, happy soul. He was very talented and adventurous. He loved architectural work, drawing, painting, wood carving, photography, knitting, floral decor, gardening, cooking, cake decorating, guitar, and home improvement projects/repairs. He also enjoyed traveling, camping, kayaking, white water rafting, river tubing, hiking, and loved animals, especially his three cats.

A viewing will be held on Monday, March 16, 2020, from 2-4 and 6-8, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD 21078. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at 11:00 AM, at Bel Air United Methodist Church, 21 Linwood Avenue, Bel Air, MD, 21014. Interment will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens, 3839 Aldino Road, Aberdeen, MD 21001.
