David Irwin Bridgman, born on October 11, 1955, peacefully passed away at his residence in Havre de Grace, MD on August 6, 2024. He was the father of David Joseph Bridgman, Jennifer Lynn Butcher, Shaun Williams and Daniel Michael Bridgman, a grandfather to David Joseph Bridgman, II, Caitlyn Grace Bridgman and Jacqueline Colette Coomes, a caring brother to John Edward Bridgman, III, Thomas Bryant Bridgman, Rosemary Rock, Luke Parham Bridgman and Ruth Tracey Milsted, and a proud veteran of the United State Marines.
David was born in Petersburg, Virginia to the late John E. Bridgman, Myra R. (Brooks) Bridgman.
David lived a life deeply connected to nature, finding solace in the tranquility of fishing and his love for football, particularly his cherished Baltimore Ravens. His peaceful spirit was further enriched by the simple joys of watching classic television shows and embracing moments of solitude.
With a high school diploma in hand, David pursued a career in construction within the steel industry, dedicating his efforts to Bethlehem Steel until retirement. His commitment to hard work and dedication to his craft left a lasting impact on those around him.
In the wake of his passing, David will be dearly missed by his family and friends. A funeral service to honor his memory and celebrate his life will be held in the coming days at a date and location to be announced. Friends, colleagues, and loved ones are invited to join in commemorating the life of David Bridgeman, a man whose quiet strength and love for the simple pleasures of life touched many hearts.
