David Charles Force, Sr., of York, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on September 28, 1951, in Oil City, Pennsylvania, David lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to his family. David dedicated many years of his early life to his work as a warehouse inspector at Campbel Chain/Apex Tools until retirement. However, it was his role as a husband, father, and grandfather that truly defined him. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Janice M. Force, and their three children: David C. Force, Jr. and Megan Green of Havre De Grace, MD; Heather R. Force of York; and Melissa S. Force and her Husband Tony of Etters, PA. David cherished the time spent with his grandchildren, Kevin E. Force and Jacob P. Mundis, bringing joy and laughter to their lives with his playful spirit and humor.

David is also survived by his loving sisters, Cindy Grimm and her husband Ron of Bowling Green, KY, and Deanna Brehm and her husband Gary of York, who will forever hold dear the memories they shared. David was preceded in death by his father, Charles Force, his mother, Mary Martin Clinton, his sister, Connie Schwartz and two infant brothers.

He was a man who brought smiles to the faces of those around him, always ready with a joke and a warm embrace. David's family invites all who knew and loved him to celebrate his life. Funeral services will be held on October 3rd, 2026 with visitation starting at 10:00 AM followed by a fellowship service at 11:00 AM at Codorus Church of the Brethren in York County, PA. Friends and family will gather to share stories, memories, and the laughter that David so loved to inspire in others.
