It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of David Bramwell Price, a devoted husband, loving father, caring grandfather, great-grandfather, and cherished brother. Born on October 25, 1929, in Havre De Grace, Maryland, David peacefully departed on November 24, 2024, in Dagsboro, Delaware, surrounded by his family.
David proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and later pursued higher education, earning a Master's Degree in Education. His career as a Master Instructor at Aberdeen Proving Ground was a testament to his dedication and passion for knowledge. Beyond his professional life, David was known for his award-winning talent in decoy carving and his love for the great outdoors, especially fishing.
A man of faith and service, David was a Baptist minister and a founding pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Stewartstown, PA. He was also an active member of various fraternal organizations, including member, and past Worshipful Master of Masonic Lodge 130, the Shriner, Tall Cedars, and the Boumi Temple.
David is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Mary Elizabeth Price, his daughters Cindy Choma (Michael) and Melissa Mazza (Joe), grandchildren Cassie Harmer (Brandon), Candis Crouse (Ryan), Chad Childers (Brittany) Joshua Crouse, and Kaila Crouse, as well as great-grandchildren Blake Childers, Dominic and Stella Faiola, and Amelia Harmer. He also leaves behind his dear sister, Irene Patricia Jackson, along with several nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, from 6-8 PM, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 3115 Level Road, Churchville, MD, Tuesday, December 3, from 10AM until 11AM, with funeral services beginning at 11AM. Pastor Rick Blackburn will officiate. Interment will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens. Services will be Livestreamed via Facebook @ZellmanFuneralHome,P.A. or on the funeral home website.
David was preceded in death by his parents Norman Paul Price and Irene (Hummer)Price, and siblings, Billy Price, Alvin Price, Kenneth Price, Ruth Kasmaric.
