Denise L. McIntyre (Cockrell) of Aberdeen, MD passed away surrounded by love at the Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, MD on October 25, 2023. She was 63 years old.
Born in Pennsylvania to the late Laverne McCartan, she was the devoted mother of Clinton McIntyre and Ami L. McIntyre, grandmother of Jacob Logan, Jaden, Deven and Cannon McIntyre, beloved sister of David E. Cockrell, John C. Cockrell, Sr. (Diane) and the late James "Byrd" A. Cockrell.
Ms. McIntyre upon graduation of high school, went on to work for the United State Government in Civil Service for Logistics. After 36 years of dedication and service, she retired from the Aberdeen Proving Ground, Aberdeen, Maryland.
She was talented in the arts and enjoyed arts and crafts, working on many projects. She loved passing the time playing casino games on her tablet, watching NCIS and Dr. Poll the Veterinarian. Above all she loved spending time with her family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
