Diane Mary Pennington Killeen
Diane Mary Pennington Killeen, of Havre de Grace, passed away on August 20, 2009. She was 81.
She was born in Sturgills, N.C., to the late Chester Harvey Pennington and the late Rose Nora Griffitts Pennington.
She was the loving mother of Sharon Killeen Finanger, and mother-in-law of Karl Finanger. She was the sister of Walter Pennington of Sunset Beach, North Carolina and the late Pauline Flanery Blair. She was also preceded in death by her former husband, Francis George Killeen.
Mrs. Killeen worked as a telephone operator for Bell Atlantic and Verizon for almost 36 years. Following her service with the telephone companies, she worked for and managed the Video King in Havre de Grace. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Her spare time was spent crafting, completing puzzles and traveling. She also enjoyed keeping in touch with all of her family and friends.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 25, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 AM. Deacon Victor Petrosino will officiate. Interment will be at Harford Memorial Gardens.
