It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Douglas Dorell Druyor Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend, who left this world peacefully on June 18, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on October 7, 1943, in Port Clinton, Ohio. Douglas spent his life in Havre De Grace, Maryland, where he was known for his warm heart, unwavering kindness, and dedication to family.

A proud Army veteran, Douglas served his country before returning to civilian life, where he embraced a fulfilling career as a mechanic at the Courts of Harford Square. He exemplified the spirit of hard work, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and friends alike.

Douglas cherished his time spent working in the yard and loved woodworking and creating crafts that brought joy to those around him. Beyond his projects, he found happiness in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was playing a friendly game of poker-especially Texas Hold'em-or caring for the many cats that filled his life with love and companionship.

He was a devoted husband to his beloved spouse of 61years, Barbara Sue Druyor, and a proud father to his children, Douglas Dorell Druyor, Jr., (Laura Lynn Druyor), D'Wayne Dean Druyor (Betty Druyor), Dana Dion Druyor (Darla Druyor), Dedria Keyes, (late Dale Keyes), d. Dewey Darrell Druyor (Sherrie Druyor), and His "5th Son" John Williams. He is also survived by, 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and his cherished siblings, Dale D'Wayne Druyor, Denise Darlene Barr, Drucinda "Cindy" Yoho, Dorothy Lowman, and Donna Pangburn. Each of them will forever hold Douglas's memory close to their hearts. Douglas was preceded in death by his father Ralph Druyor, mother, Dorothy Druyor, son, Dewey Druyor, and siblings, Daniel Dennis Druyor, David Dean Druyor, Deborah Diane Druyor, and Dinah Dea Daugherty.

Family and friends are invited to honor Douglas's life and legacy during a funeral service that will be held at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 927 Pulaski Highway, Havre de Grace, MD, on June 28, 2025, at 6:00 pm. Prior to the service, a public viewing will take place from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, allowing loved ones to pay their respects and share in the remembrance of a truly wonderful man.

The love and compassion Douglas shared will continue to shine brightly in the lives of all who knew him. As we gather to celebrate his life, we find comfort in the memories and the lasting impact he has made on our hearts.
