Earnest "Reeves" Testerman

Earnest "Reeves" Testerman, of Havre de Grace, passed away on December 18, 2009. He was 83. He was born in Rugby, Virginia, to the late Eugene and Minnie Mae Barnes Testerman. Mr. Testerman was a graduate of SlateRidgeHigh School. Following school, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, participating in the American and Pacific Theaters. After serving his country, he worked at BainbridgeNavalTrainingCenter, then worked and retired from Aberdeen Proving Ground.
Mr. Testerman was the husband of the late Gertrude Delores Manifold Testerman, the father of Reeves Eugene "Buddy" Testerman and his wife Sandra of Havre de Grace, MD, Harry Edward Testerman and his wife Marilyn of Bel Air, Ronald Dean Testerman and his wife Geneavee Bank of Essex, MD, and Ernest David Testerman and his wife Robin of Darlington. He was the grandfather of David Testerman, Dawn Givens, Mark Testerman, Christopher Testerman, Karen Frick, Jeffrey Testerman, and Rachael Ryan. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Hazel Osborne of Bel Air, MD, and the late Edwin Testerman, Jincy Rutherford, Blanche Rutherford, Margaret "Peggy" Patrick, Marie Weaver, and Ruth Testerman. He was a member of American Legion Post 148 in Essex, a past member of VFW Post 8126, American Legion Post 47, Past President of the Maryland Chapter of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, past member of the Odd Fellows Club in Havre de Grace, the Starlight Square Dancers, and was a former member of Level Volunteer Fire Company. He was also a member of the WeslyanChapelUnitedMethodistChurch. A viewing will be held on Monday, December 21, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, Maryland. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 22, at 11:00 AM, at the funeral home. Interment will be held at WeslyanChapelCemetery, Aberdeen, MD. Rev. John Dailey will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to WeslyanChapelUnitedMethodistChurch, 409 North Paradise Road, Aberdeen, MD21001.
