Obituary

Edward Austin Rembold, Sr., 85, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away October 24, 2020 at Harford Memorial Hospital.

Born in Birches Corner, MD on March 31, 1935, Edward was the son of the late Augustus and Clara Pierce Rembold. A hard-working man, Edward worked throughout his life self employed in the heavy equipment construction industry, in the coal mines, on the Louisiana oil rigs and as a MSHA Inspector. In his younger years, he was a race car driver and loved driving his roll back and Mini-Cooper. He also enjoyed helicopters and was a gun enthusiast. A talented mechanic and passed those talents to his sons and grandsons.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Deanna Timmons Rembold; two sons, Edward A. Rembold, Jr. "Nubby" of Havre de Grace, and Aaron John Rembold (Amanda) of Perryville; three daughters, Lisa Fortune (Gus) of Aberdeen, Jackie Wheat (David "Flash") of Darlington, and April Rembold (Troy) of Aberdeen; five children from a previous marriage, Donald, Mark, Michael, Joyce and Karen; 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; two brothers, Paul and Arend; and a sister Genevieve. He was preceded in death by his brothers Aubrey and Nelson, and his sisters Dorothy and Mary, and his grandchildren, Mary Frances and Donald Victor.

A graveside service will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens, 3839 Aldino Road, Aberdeen, MD 21001 on Thursday October 29, 2020 at 11:00 am. with Pastor Frank McFadden officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses following these simple steps.
