I. Elaine Moody, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on January 20, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was 90.

Mrs. Moody was born in Havre de Grace, MD, to William George Mezick and Anna Elizabeth Miller Gulbro. Mrs. Moody was the devoted wife of the late Edward W. Moody, loving mother of Linda Silverthorn (CJ Silverthorn), of Muncie, IN, Paula Schwarze (Rick Schwarze) of Clayton, NC, Susan White (Kevin White) of The Villages, FL, Blake Edward McCloud (Emily McCloud), of Havre de Grace, MD, and Kendra Kilby (Tim Kilby, Sr.), of Summerville, SC. She was the grandmother of Brett Silverthorn, Brandi Shaw, Lindsey Martin, Bailey Smith, Courtney Sheppard, David Chastain, Matthew McCloud, Casey Chastain, Marlee Kilby, and Timothy Kilby, Jr., and great-grandmother of 15. Mrs. Moody was predeceased by her siblings, George "Sonny" Howard Mezick, Robert Leroy Mezick, Anna Barbara Hall, June Ellen Allison, Helen Willis Golden, Margaret Estelle, Leila "Sissy" Lee Dotson, and Marlene Marie Dennis.

Mrs. Moody always put her faith and family first. She worked as a childcare provider, taking caring of, and raising many children from Havre de Grace, and was known by "Aunt Elaine" to all. She was a member of Grace Reformed Episcopal Church and First Baptist Church in Havre de Grace, MD, and sang in the Sweet Adeline Choir. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 47 Ladies Auxiliary.

A viewing will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022, from 6-8 PM, and Saturday, January 29, 2022, from 10-11 AM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 11:00 AM, at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Mark Specht will officiate.
