Elizabeth Turner Borneman, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on March 15, 2015. She was 94.
She was born in Cape Charles, Virginia to Charles Smith Turner, and Virginia Pitts Turner. She was the devoted wife of the late Thomas Earl Borneman, loving mother of Barbara Lockman and her husband James, of Charlotte, NC, and Janice Borneman-Eckels and her husband Michael of Havre de Grace, MD. She was the adored grandmother of Philip Lockman, Arden Cagle, Bryden Eckels, and Jason Eckels, and great-grandmother of Brenden Lockman, Natalie Cagle, Nyla Cagle, Nolan Cagle, Bryden Eckels, and Adam Eckels. She was predeceased by her siblings, Charles Turner, Francis Turner, and Virginia Dix.
Mrs. Borneman worked as a telephone operator until she was married. She then worked with her husband as owners and operators of Chesapeake Rent-All in Havre de Grace. Mrs. Borneman loved spending time at Kiawah Island, South Carolina. She was also an avid golfer.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2015, from 5:00-8:00 PM at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 20, 2015, at 11:00 at Havre de Grace United Methodist Church, 101 S. Union Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD.
