Elwood John Martin, Jr., of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on February 17, 2023. He was 79 years old.
Mr. Martin was born April 22, 1943, in Forest Hill, Maryland, to Elwood John Martin, Sr., and Beulah Temple Martin. He was the husband of the late Mary Jane Martin. He was the loving father of Melissa Martin and Mary Christine "Tina" Martin, grandfather of Samantha McHenry, Matthew McHenry, and Katina Martin, great-grandfather of Alexander Richmond and Noah Lemaster. Mr. Martin was the brother of Jerry Martin, Jimmy Martin, Benny Martin, Joey Martin, Bobby Martin, Mary Whitt, Bessie Barton, Esther Braden, and the late Gordon Martin, Debbie Hutchinson, Anna Schaefer, Dee Wingler Hartzell, Geraldine Griffin, Katie Hemling, and Libby Martin. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mr. Martin served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed going to church, watching Western Movies, and hunting.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, from 9-10 AM, with a memorial service beginning at 10 AM.
Interment will be held at St. Ignatius Cemetery on a later date.
