Florence Tristani
Florence Teresa Tristani (Shemansky) of Havre de Grace, formerly of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on May 5, 2008 at her home. She was 87.
Mrs. Tristani was born in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania to the late Anthony Shemansky and the late Katherine Vietakunas. She was the beloved wife of the Late Ettore Mario Tristani.
She was a devoted mother of two; Ettore M. Tristani, Jr. and Patricia McCarthy of Perryville, MD and James Tristani and his wife Judith of Bel Air, MD. She was an adoring grandmother of two; Stephen E. Tristani and his wife Sheryl of Colora, MD and Joseph P. Tristani and his wife Christine of Timonium, MD. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Sydney A. Tristani and Stephen E. Tristani, II both of Colora, MD and Gabrielle M. Tristani and Julianne M. Tristani both of Timonium, MD. She is also survived by Cathy Lewis and her daughter Virginia Lewis of Perryville, Maryland.
She was the sister of the late Joseph Shemansky, Ann Glinskas, Kathryn Denchy, and Jean Stemmy.
Mrs. Tristani was an Electrical Worker for Proctor-Silex and also for Westinghouse before retiring in 1985. She was a former volunteer for ChurchHomeHospital and GoodSamaritanHospital. She enjoyed shopping at yard sales and flea markets.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 8, 10:30 AM with a viewing beginning at 10 AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 615 Congress Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD. Fr. William J. O'Brien will officiate. Interment will be at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Stephen E. Tristani, Thomas Stemmy, Joseph Stemmy, Thomas McElfatrick and Richard Delp. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Gallagher, Eugene Vigna.
