Floyd Wayne Bowman of Havre de Grace, MD passed away on January 14, 2024. He was 66 years old. Born in Havre de Grace, Maryland to the late Floyd C. and Irene Katherine (Latka) Bowman. He was the devoted father of Crystal Bowman Ayers (Ryan), Joshua W. Bowman (Kayla), Amanda Bent (Jason) and Becci Lay, loving grandfather of Ivy Lay, Ryan Ayers, II and Anthony Ayers, brother of Sharon Bittner (Jim), Christopher Bowman (Connie), Gerald Bowman (Leasa) and the late John Bowman.

Mr. Bowman served 18 years with the Maryland National Guard. Floyd was a maintenance technician for more than 20 years at Constar and later at Berry Plastics before his early retirement. He was a lifetime member and volunteer for the Susquehanna Hose Company House 4, he loved and respected his firefighting family. He and some of the members also participated in pool leagues and bowling leagues.

He loved hunting, fishing, being outdoors, woodworking and was often known as "MacGyver" who was able to fix anything. Floyd loved his motorcycle family and was a member of the Post 135, American Legion Riders Club out of Perryville Maryland..

A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2024 from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Where a funeral service will be held at 1 P.M.
