Floyd Clinton Bowman of Havre de Grace passed away December 29, 2023. He was the beloved husband of 65 years to the late Irene Bowman.

Floyd was born in Cascade, MD to the late Floyd and Margaret "Gertie" Bowman. He was the loving father to Sharon Bittner (Jim), Wayne Bowman, Christopher Bowman (Connie), Gerald Bowman (Leasa) and the late John Bowman. Floyd was the cherished grandfather of Crystal Ayers (Ryan), Kelly Lambert (Michael), Emily Stevens (Ryan), Amanda Bent (Jason), Meghan Shuttlesworth (Ryan), Becci Lay, Samantha Coleman (Jarid), Joshua Bowman (Kayla), Zachary Bowman and the late Jarrett Bowman. He was adored by eleven great-grand-children: Jack, Abby, Larson, Weston, Karly, Bennett, Ivy, Jase, Cole, Ryan II, and Anthony. Floyd was also a loving brother to the late Charlotte "Bonnie" Fitzgerald and is survived by brothers Jesse "Gene" Bowman and Dale Bowman (Judy).

Floyd was a Veteran of the United States Army, and the Army National Guard, retiring in 1986. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Aberdeen, MD, American Legion Post 47, Maryland Trappers Association, South Mountain Gun Club, and the 29th Division Association Post 85. Floyd enjoyed hunting, fishing trapping, woodworking, crafts, and playing the guitar. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

A viewing will be held Thursday, January 4, 2023, from 6-8pm and Friday, January 5, 2023, 10-11am at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A. 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD 21078. Funeral services will be held Friday January 5, 2023, following the viewing at 11AM. Interment will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen, MD.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his memory to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105, one of his favorite charities.
