It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of George Albert Angelucci Sr., who left this world peacefully on May 25, 2026, at the age of 95, in Havre de Grace, Maryland. Born on April 3, 1931, in Aberdeen, Maryland, George lived a life rich in love and commitment to family and friends.
George spent his life living at his childhood home in Havre de Grace. As a boy, he participated in Boy Scouts and also delivered newspapers working for McLhinney's News Depot. At the age of 19 in 1950, George began his civilian service career working for the US Army Ordnance Center and School at APG, and worked his way up to the position of Chief, Field Printing Office. He retired after 34 years of government service. After his retirement, he went on to work another 22 years at Harford Community College in the print shop. He had a love for history and a particular knowledge for World War II. George was a man who was always eager to learn and share stories from the past.
He was a devoted member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, where he found solace and community. Known for his warm and inviting spirit, George was an excellent cook, beloved for his famous spaghetti and meatballs that brought family and friends together around the dinner table.
George is survived by his loving spouse of 60 years, Sandra "Betty" Angelucci, and their children: George Angelucci Jr., (Diane), James Angelucci, Mark Angelucci (Dee), Kim Angelucci Cottrell (Dean), and Kelly Angelucci. He will also be deeply missed by his adoring grandchildren: Nicole Angelucci Elphic, Lorin Angelucci, Michael Angelucci, Maria Angelucci, Elizabeth Cottrell, and Frank Gore IV, and 7 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Orlando Angelucci and Hazel E. Young Angelucci, his grandson, George A. Angelucci, III, and his siblings, Louise, John, Mary, Norge, Bobby, Grace and Jimmy.
Reflecting on his greatest passion, time spent with family was the cornerstone of George's life. The love he shared with them will forever be etched in their hearts.
A Mass in celebration of George's life will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church on June 1, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Family and friends are invited to gather as we honor his legacy, share memories, and support one another during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in George's memory to St. Patrick's Catholic Church, a place that was dear to his heart.
