George Lewis Allen
George Lewis Allen of Havre de Grace, MD passed away peacefully on September 2, 2008 at HarfordMemorialHospital. He was 80.
Mr. Allen was born in Baltimore, MD to the late John T. and Annie (Hoffmaster) Allen. He was a beloved husband of 47 years to Alice M. Allen (Witt).
Mr. Allen is survived by his son John T. Allen of Edgewood, MD and a daughter the late Barbara Lynn Allen. He was the brother of Delores Hardesty of Baltimore, MD and the Late Pauline Kahl and Katherine Isenock. Also he is survived by several nieces and nephews.
He had worked for many years at the EdgewoodHigh School as a janitor and retired from the Harford County School Board. He truly enjoyed helping his neighbors and people whenever he could.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD 21078.
A service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 11 AM also at the Funeral Home.
Officiating will be Dr. W. Grant Nelson, Pastor.
Pallbearers will be Philip Kahl, John Kahl, Mike Kahl, Ed Kahl, Ray McNamara, and Nick Wilson.
Interment will be at HarfordMemorialGardens in Aberdeen, MD.
