It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of George Allen Houston, who left us peacefully and into the presence of His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on July 28, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on July 6, 1954, in Indianapolis, Indiana, George lived a life filled with passion and warmth that touched the hearts of those around him.
Residing in Rockford, Michigan the last nine years, George was a beloved brother to William Houston and brother-in-law to Jeanene Houston. He was also a cherished uncle to Jennifer, Katheryn and Amanda and a cherished friend to many. He had an enduring love for old country music, drawing joy and comfort from the melodies that spoke to his soul. He also found great pleasure in leisurely walks around the charming streets of Havre de Grace, where he was a long-time resident and appreciated the beauty of his surroundings and the kindness of its people.
A graveside service will be held in his honor at Harford Memorial Gardens on August 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Family and friends are invited to join together to celebrate George's life and the many memories we hold dear. In this time of mourning, we remember George not just for his passing, but for the love, laughter, and joy he shared with us all. His spirit will continue to resonate in our hearts.
George Houston will be profoundly missed, yet the impact of his life will remain in our hearts forever.
George was preceded in death by his mother Mamie Barrett (George Barrett) and father Bernard Houston.
