Gerald "Jerry" Laverne Bathurst, of Bel Air, MD, passed away on June 8, 2024.

He was 89 years old.

Mr. Bathurst was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, to Gerald Franklin Bathurst and Mary Ann Ehgartner Bathurst. He was the devoted husband of Rosemary Ann Bathurst, loving father of Deborah Goll (Bobby) and the late Michael Bathurst, grandfather of Andrew Myers III, (Janelle), and Randy Myers (Caitlin), and great-grandfather of Kenzi, Brogan, Colton, and Glenn Myers. He was the brother of Richard Bathurst and the late Larry Bathurst.

Mr. Bathurst graduated from Patterson Park High School. He served in the U.S. Navy and retired from Sun Life Insurance Company as a top agent for most of his career. He lived most of his life in Essex, MD. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved spending hunting seasons with his brothers at the "camp" in Huntingdon County, PA.
