Grace Edith Scibek of Havre de Grace, MD passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by the love of her family on May 13, 2021. She was 97 years old and the beloved wife of the late Stanley C. Scibek.
Born in Thomaston, CT to the late William H. and Nellie E. (Francis) Noack. She was the devoted mother of James T. Scibek (Margaret), Stanley W. Scibek (late Susan), Michael E. Scibek (Claudia), and the late Grace Esther Scibek, adoring grandmother of Jennifer Scibek, Richard Scibek, Ronald Scibek and Matthew Scibek. She was the great-grandmother of Marcianna Grace Scibek. She was predeceased by her brother Francis Noack and sister Dorothy Barrington.
Mrs. Scibek was a graduate of the Hartford Hospital School of Nursing, receiving her R.N. She went on to work for many years as a Registered Nursing and retiring from Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace, MD. She enjoyed making jams and would often donate them to churches or neighbors. She also loved to crochet and had shared her talent with her granddaughter.
