Harry Richard Stine, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on December 1, 2018. He was 80 years old.
Mr. Stine was born in Baltimore, MD, to Willard and Lillian Gertrude Beale Stine. He was the devoted husband of 57 years to Margrete Head Stine, loving father of Sandra Michelle Gallion and her husband Nolan, Jr., of Havre de Grace, MD, Sharon Melanie Cockerham and her husband "Chip" of Street, MD, and Donna Marie Hawley and her husband Chris of Havre de Grace, MD. He was the adored grandfather of Christopher Stine, Michelle Gallion Williamson, Mitchell Cockerham, Stephanie Gallion, Aimee Cockerham, Kyle Cockerham, Timothy Hawley, Matthew Hawley, Christian Cockerham, and the late Jonathan Cockerham, and Nolan Gallion, III. Mr. Stine was the great-grandfather of Payton Cockerham, Hudson Stine, Shane West, and Lillyana Williamson, and brother of Willard Stine, Jr., and the late Vernon Stine, Robert Beale, and Elizabeth Lowery.
Mr. Stine served in the U.S. Navy. He retired in 1999 after 35 years from Cytec as leader in shipping. He was fondly known at work as Bear. Mr. Stine loved fishing and hunting and working in his yard. He was extremely meticulous with his vehicles and equipment.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD 21078. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Christopher Stine, Mitchell Cockerham, Kyle Cockerham, Christian Cockerham, George Eisner, John Williamson, and Clayton "Tigger" Jackson.
