Helen Elizabeth Haffner
Helen Elizabeth Haffner, of Havre de Grace, Maryland, passed away on December 22, 2012. She was 100.
She was born in Havre de Grace, MD, to William Wright and Laura Virginia Singleton Wright.
Mrs. Haffner was the loving wife of the late Louis J. Haffner. She was predeceased by her siblings William Thomas Wright, Cleveland James Wright, John Wilmer Wright, Nora Dennis and Violet Virginia Diffenderfer. She was the dear aunt of Carol Tome, Shirley Himes, Debbie Rosenkrans, Bill Diffenderfer and Elva Kelley. She was also survived by several great-nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Haffner was a member of the VFW in Havre de Grace Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion Post 47 Ladies Auxiliary.
She was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Havre de Grace.
A service will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2013, at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Havre de Grace 120 South Stokes Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Interment will be held at Rock Run Cemetery. Pastor Ron Smith will officiate.
