Obituary

Hugh LaPenotiere, of Aberdeen, MD, passed away on January 13, 2021.

He was 82. Mr. LaPenotiere was born in Havre de Grace, MD, to Arthur Joseph LaPenotiere and Josephine Scalise LaPenotiere. He was the devoted companion of the late Blanche May Keen Berry. He was the father of Dominic Anthony LaPenotiere (Jennifer Kelleher), Hugh Fielding LaPenotiere, IV (Rocio), Angelina Maria LaPenotiere, Mark Christopher LaPenotiere, stepfather of Doreen Greer and Jeanie Lynn, grandfather of Colin, Elizabeth, Mark, Meranda, Nicole, Johnthan, Jessica, Jared, Jordan, and Joanna, and step-grandfather of Christopher, John and Clinton Cottrell, and great-grandfather of Hannah, Oliver, Erin, Elliot, Wyatt, Payton, Rhyse, and Cyrus. Mr. LaPenotiere was the brother of Shirley Graves and the late Margie Yung-Kwai and Sandra Trotta.

Mr. Lapenotiere served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion in Texas. He coached soccer for St. Paul's in San Antonio, TX and won every game for 5 straight years. He was a long-time supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project and St. Jude Children's Hospital.

A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at 11:00 AM, at Harford Memorial Gardens, 3839 Aldino Road, Aberdeen, MD.
