Irene Chan Gion, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on January 19, 2021, at the age of 87.

Mrs. Gion was born in Hong Kong and moved to the United States when she was 27. She was the devoted wife of Edmund Gion, loving mother of Alan C. Gion (Helga Schoeman), Lisa G. Peters (Thomas) and Timothy C. Gion (Yan Jiang), and grandmother of Erin and Elena Peters and Nathan and Sophia Gion.

Mrs. Gion was a nursery assistant at St. John's Nursery, a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and a volunteer at Grace Place and the Havre de Grace Friends of the Library. She enjoyed watching baseball, reading, listening to classical music and Chinese Opera.

Services for Mrs. Gion were private.
