**Obituary for Jack Ford Polk, Jr.**

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jack Ford Polk, Jr., who left us peacefully on July 13, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on October 8, 1951, in Beckley, West Virginia, Jack lived a life filled with love, service, and dedication, leaving a lasting legacy for his family and community.

Jack was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Dorothy Polk, and a proud father to his three sons: Shane Douglas Polk (Kristle), Eric Wayne Polk, and Brian Daniel Polk (Tina Evans). His family was the very center of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with his children, grandchildren-Bradley M. Polk, Shannon L. Pelletier (Kevin), Eric W. Polk, II, (Rachel), Tristan Polk, Kyle Polk, and Adyson Polk,-and his great-grandchildren, Brooklyn M. Polk and Hudson J. Polk. Jack is also survived by his sisters, Nora Ryan, Barbara Morgan, Jeanette Spicer, and Mary Worthington, and his brother, Daniel Polk. Jack's warm spirit, generosity, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Jack was preceded in death by: his father Jack Ford Polk, Sr., mother Nannie Mozell Lilly Polk, sister, Sandra Spicer, and brother, Orville Polk.

In his professional life, Jack served as a Fleet Manager for the City of Havre de Grace, where his commitment to his work and his community shone through. A proud veteran, Jack enlisted in the National Guard. His commitment to service extended beyond his military duty; he was a life member of the Level Volunteer Fire Company, dedicating 35 years to protecting and serving the community he loved.

Jack had a passion for restoring old cars and was always willing to lend a helping hand to friends and neighbors in need of vehicle repairs. His mechanical skills and thoughtful gestures created not just reliable vehicles but lasting memories and friendships.

A public viewing will be held on July 16, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A. A funeral service celebrating Jack's life will take place on July 17, 2026, at 11:00 AM, also at Zellman Funeral Home. Following the service, Jack will be laid to rest at 4102 Rock Run Road, Havre de Grace, MD.

In honoring Jack's life, his family asks that you remember the joy he brought into the lives of those around him and carry forward his spirit of kindness and community service. Thank you for your love and support during this difficult time.
