James G. Belcher of Havre de Grace, Maryland passed away at home on April 30, 2023. He was 80 years old and the devoted husband of the late Christine L. Belcher. Born in Knoxville, TN to the late Leonard R. and Elizabeth L. (Sneed) Belcher. He was the loving father of Todd Belcher (Kathy), Scott Belcher (Angie) and Timothy Belcher (Jaime), Monica Schlagel, the late Charles Schlagel and grandfather of nine He is survived by his brother Scoot Belcher. Mr. Belcher was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, where he served his country for more than 20 years. After his military service, he worked in Law enforcement serving as a Cecil County Sheriff, where he retired. Mr. Belcher enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 11 A.M. at the Bel Air Memorial Gardens, 809 Rock Spring Road, Bel Air, Maryland 21014. Officiating is Father Jeffrey D. Welsh.
