James Leroy Brooks
James Leroy Brooks, of Havre de Grace, passed away on April 29, 2010. He was 73.
He was born in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Leroy and Marie Brooks. He was the loving husband of 23 years of Ada Ruth Brooks. He was the father of Louis Wayne Perry, Ruth Marlene Henry, and Ann Colleen Crane. He is survived by nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Robert Brooks.
Mr. Brooks served in the U.S. Army for 29 years. He retired as a computer programmer for the Army National Guard in Lansing, Michigan. He was a member of the American Legion Post 47, and the AMVETS. He loved playing and tinkering on the computer, and spending time with his family.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, May 2, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 3, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Rev. Ed Heydt will officiate. Interment will be held at RockRunCemetery.
