Joseph Lee "Tink" Callahan

Jim "Tink" Callahan of Havre de Grae, MD, passed away peacefullly at Caring Hands Assisted Living in Belcamp, MD on August 13, 2008. He was born in Fayetteville, NC 66 years ago to the late James W. Callahan and Edith Mary (Fisch) Callahan.

Tink was the loving brother of Dee Hewitt, Havre de Grace, MD; Barb (& Dave) Gunn, Doylestown, PA; and Fred (& Sharon) Callahan, Milford CT. He was also the devoted Uncle of Mike Shenk & Rebecca Hewitt, Havre de Grace, MD, Jon, Bob, & Brian Gunn of PA, Kate Luther, also of PA; and Carrie Albert and Megan Callahan of CT. He had many cherished great nieces and nephews. Tink is also survived by his adoring Aunts and Uncles; Robert (& Shirley) Callahan of Havre de Grace, MD; Allen (& Ann) Callahan of Blue Ridge, NC; Charlotte Hawkins of Havre de Grace, MD; Nancy (& Charles) Case of Galena, MD; and Mary Sue McCumber of Madison, WI.

Jim was retired from HarfordMemorialHospital where he enjoyed working with friends for many years. He also worked with the ARC foundation and attended all of their social activities, as well as being involved with the KennedyCenter when he lived in Connecticut. Jim loved to dance and bowling was a favorite pastime. More than anything, his love was his family and spending time with them.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on September 13th, 2008 at the Havre de GraceUnitedMethodistChurch, 101 South Union Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD 21078.
